About the MMA

The Manitoba Mopar Association is a group of enthusiasts dedicated to the restoration and preservation of Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, Desoto and AMC built motor vehicles. The club was officially formed in 1992 and was incorporated as a non-profit organization in September 1995. Our list of activities throughout the year include something of interest for everyone. We have the traditional car shows, car cruises, car rallies and club runs. Some of our fair weather activities include go-carting, miniature golfing, poker derbies and barbecues. When the weather turns a little cool, we turn to some indoor activities such as bingo bowling, curling, video nights and our annual wind-up dinner. On occasion, we combine the indoor activities with our monthly meetings. Summer monthly meetings (May-September) are held the second Wednesday of the month. The meeting night starts off with a gathering at a central location at 6:30 and then a cruise out to a restaurant or picnic area. Final destinations of meetings are discussed at the general meeting the previous month or published in the newsletter or can be heard on our club hotline when you dial MOPAR-99. Winter monthly meetings (October-April) are held at the Pony Corral on Nairn.

The newsletter is published and mailed out to members 4 times per year. Features include an Activities report, Car Show schedule, Racing news, updates from Manitoba Association of Auto Clubs (MAAC), advertisements and news from around the local car club world. The club is also dedicated to the efforts of raising funds for various charities.

The current membership is in the order of 120 members ranging from collectors, drag racers and hobbyists. Membership dues are $30.00 annually which entitles the member to receive the newsletter, discounts at various participating automotive retailers, window club decal and a membership card. As much as we enjoy the hobby, we also like to showcase our vehicles for the enjoyment of the public. This helps to promote a positive image for the car club community.
