This 300F has been owned by Lindsey and
Paula Fuller since May of 1996. Originally sold in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in January 1960,
it spent most of its life in California. The car was purchased from a collector in
eastern Ontario who had at least one of each of the 300 letter cars produced from 1955-65.
He purchased it in California in 1989 and drove it back towing a 61 300G, a distance
of about 4000 miles. We have enjoyed driving the car about 9000 miles since then including
a 2200 mile round trip to a Chrysler 300 meet in South Bend, Indiana where another 34
300's were present. The original 413 has been replaced with an early 440 cu. in.
motor but has all the 300 goodies such as cross ram intake manifolds and dual four barrel
carbs. There is a 50/50 chance most of the paint is the original Terra Cotta red. At some
point we will fully restore the car but enjoy it as it is for now. It will never be a
trailer queen. Aside from having fun with the 5.0 litre Mustangs and such on Saturday
night, the burgers and fries always taste better when you go in this car. Style is a
matter of taste but we think this car is the best of all the Virgil Exner fin
cars designed in the late 50's-early 60's. I have wanted to own one since I was
14 and now that I finally have one, I may be burried in it. Thanks to my many friends in
the Manitoba Mopar Club who have provided good advice, repair services, and camaraderie
over the years.
